Positive Coaching Alliance – Tampa Bay has announced fifty (50) local high school student-athletes from the Class of 2024 as Finalists for its Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship Awards.

A Triple-Impact Competitor makes positive contributions on three levels: Personal Mastery, Leadership, and Honoring the Game. Finalists were selected based on their application which included essay responses and recommendations noting how applicants strive to improve and develop themselves, their teammates, and the sport itself.

“Our review committee enjoyed reading so many strong applications this fall. Seniors told stories about coaches that have been incredible role models and helped them develop into leaders on and off the field. We look forward to meeting all 50 Finalists in our upcoming events this winter and spring” said Mason Brady, chapter Executive Director.

Since 2016, PCA – Tampa Bay has awarded over $340,000 in scholarships to local student-athletes. The Class of 2024 marks the largest applicant pool to date making these Finalists an incredibly strong group. Finalists will be provided with more than an opportunity of a monetary award. As a part of the program, all 50 will have opportunities to:

• Improve interview skills
• Meet local business leaders and former athletes
• Receive mentorship as they transition from high school to their next endeavor
• Connect with peers and build relationships

“We offer more than a financial scholarship,” said Nick Hess, PCA -Tampa Bay Board member and Mentor Chair. “We surround our Finalists with mentors who use the life lessons gained from their high school, college, or professional playing days to foster points of connection that will create a resource for them as they move on to college and life after.”

Up to twenty-five (25) Winners will be selected during the spring semester as recipients of the scholarship award and each will receive $2,000.
