Trainers - Los Angeles

Julie Shiller is a former social worker and strength and conditioning coach turned mental performance coach. She brings over 15 years of experience in youth development, holistic health curriculum design, and coaching the intersection of mental skills and sport performance with athletes.

She is the founder of The Other 23 Hours Coaching where she teaches athletes the mental skills to thrive in sport and in life through tools including: self-talk training, mental imagery and visualization, meditation, breath work, healthy routines and habits, developing a positive team culture, and leadership development. Her mission is to be the mentor that she needed to help navigate the mental challenges of being a youth athlete, and to advocate for social change in youth and women's sports.

Julie earned her master’s in social work from the University of Denver and Bachelor’s in Sociology from The University of Hartford. She is a Pain-Free Performance Specialist, a Sleep, Stress Management and Recovery Coach through Precision Nutrition, and an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.

Outside work, Julie is a huge women's soccer fan. You can catch her cheering on Angel City Football Club and keeping tabs on the National Women’s Soccer League and the Women’s Super League. She also loves discovering new hikes, sipping on strong coffee, swinging heavy kettlebells, and taking a rest day with her black lab, Millie.
