Sue Hunt joined PCA in April of 2023. She is a marketing leader who has worked in organizations traversing packaged goods, entertainment, and service industries and has extensive experience working in sports and for nonprofit organizations.  Sue was the Chief Marketing Officer of the United States Tennis Association where she oversaw the USTA’s marketing and digital efforts.  A key accomplishment during her time at the USTA included partnering with Project Play to drive participation of leading organizations in the American sporting community to support initiatives to combat childhood inactivity by stressing the importance of participation in athletics and multi-sport play. After leaving the USTA, Sue was the Chief Marketing Officer of Universal Tennis, which created a worldwide rating for tennis that allows players to compete together regardless of gender, age, and geography.

Sue joined the Aspen Institute’s Project Play in 2017 leading Project Play 2020, a multiyear effort by 20 organizations to grow national sport participation and related metrics among youth. Partners include Nike, Amazon, Target, NBC, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Major League Baseball, among others. In her role, she led the strategic development of a PSA launched by ESPN and Project Play 2020 members in the fall of 2019, and a free digital Youth Coaching Course in partnership with Nike and the United States Olympic Committee, which launched in the fall of 2018.

In January of 2019 Sue opened a consulting practice where she partnered with sports, event, nonprofit, B2B and B2C companies on marketing strategy, product marketing, digital marketing, advertising and communications. Projects have included promotional marketing for launch of Kobe Bryant's book Legacy and the Queen and marketing and strategy consulting for Positive Coaching Alliance, Coaching Corps, and Major League Pickleball.

Sue is the former board chair for Up2Us Sports, a sports-based youth development nonprofit, and the former board chair for Bridgeport Tennis and Education, a community tennis association formed to bring tennis programming and opportunities to the residents of the city.
